Bermuda Skyport today advises the public of roadworks taking place at the airport roundabout, as construction has commenced on the new entrance to the new passenger terminal building.

Part of the work involves taking down the LF Wade International Airport sign. The letters have been preserved and will be presented to the family of the late L. Frederick Wade. A new sign will be erected at the new passenger terminal building, which will be unveiled upon completion.

Also included in the construction works, will be the removal of the bus shelter located at the roundabout. The affected area has been fenced off for security and safety purposes.

Mikaela Pearman, Marketing & Communications Officer, Skyport, says: “We would like to thank the public in advance for their patience during this time. The Airport Redevelopment Project continues to be on schedule, with significant milestones reached, including the completion of the roof. We look forward to opening Bermuda’s new world-class terminal next year.”
