Key Categories:
#1: Bermuda and Aviation Landscapes
- Theme: Capture Bermuda’s natural beauty and its aviation elements, highlighting the interaction between the island’s landscapes and the aviation world.
- Location: Any area within Bermuda and the airport, including scenic views, coastal landscapes, and aviation-related settings.
- Challenge: Create compelling images that showcase the unique beauty of Bermuda’s landscapes alongside aviation elements, such as airplanes, runways, and airport structures.
#2 Airplanes and Airport Operations
- Theme: Document the hustle and flow of the airport from dawn to dusk.
- Location: Any area within the airport, capturing a wide range of activities, from the early morning rush to the quiet of late-night flights.
- Challenge: Create a photo essay that includes at least three photos showing different times of the day, emphasizing changes in activity and mood.
#3 Airport Life and Emotions
- Theme: Capture the emotions and expressions of travelers as they embark on journeys or reunite with loved ones.
- Location: Focus on areas where human interactions are prominent, such as departure gates, arrival sections, and baggage claims.
- Challenge: Photographers must tell a compelling story through their image, capturing the essence of travel and reunion.
#4 Architectural and Creative Perspectives
- Theme: Highlight the airport’s architectural beauty and complex structures, from grand facades to intricate details like signage and lighting.
- Location: Participants can explore the airport’s interior and exterior elements.
- Challenge: The goal is to showcase the airport as a piece of art, focusing on lines, shapes, and structures.
Prizes: Total Prizes Worth Up to $2,500!
Special Feature:
– Winners’ Photos and/or Videography will be displayed across the terminal for an entire year, offering passengers a glimpse of aviation through a uniquely Bermudian lens.

– Competition Open: May 16
– Competition Closes: June 22
– Judging results announced: June 30
Submission Limit:
– Maximum of three HIGH RESOLUTION (300dpi) photos per participant per entry and only one entry per category.
Submission Guidelines
– Do not use previously posted art to maintain the competition’s exclusivity.
Eligibility:
– Open to all, including airport workers and pilots.
How to Participate:
1. Capture: Take stunning photos that fit into one of our key categories.
2. Edit: You can edit your images within reasonable limits.
3. Submit an email to: communications@skyport.bm to submit your entries. Please use a compression tool like WeTransfer to send large files.

Welcome to the Skyport and L.F. Wade International Airport Photo & Videography Competition! Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before participating.
1. Liability:
Skyport and L.F. Wade International Airport and its officials and agents are not responsible or liable for any claims, demands, losses, or liabilities arising from participants’ involvement in this competition or the acceptance of any awards.
2. Originality and Rights:
Participants must ensure that the photo or video they submit is their original work, has not been copied, and does not infringe on the rights of any other person.
3. Copyright and Usage:
While the copyright for any submitted photo or video remains with the entrant, participating in this Competition grants Skyport and L.F. Wade International Airport irrevocable, perpetual permission to use, distribute, reproduce, or otherwise utilize the submitted materials in whole or in part without further compensation or attribution.
4. Indemnification:
By submitting a photo or video, participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skyport, L.F. Wade International Airport, their officials, agents, employees, consultants, subcontractors, and other representatives from any third-party claims, including all litigation costs, expenses, attorney’s fees, settlement payments, and damages arising from or related to the use of the submitted materials.
5. No Waiver of Privileges and Immunities:
Participation in the Competition or acceptance of these terms does not constitute a waiver of any privileges or immunities enjoyed by Skyport, L.F. Wade International Airport, its officers, or staff under applicable agreements, laws, or decrees.
6. Modification of Terms:
Skyport and L.F. Wade International Airport reserve the right to modify, amend, delete, or add to these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. These obligations remain in effect even after the Competition ends.
7. Eligibility:
The competition is open to everyone, including airport workers and pilots. Participants must ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, especially concerning drone usage.
8. Submission Guidelines:
Each participant may submit up to three photos or videos, one entry per category. Entries should be emailed to communications@skyport.bm using a compression tool like WeTransfer for large files.
9. Judging and Prizes:
Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, and adherence to the Competition themes. Prizes worth up to $2,500 will be awarded, and winners’ works will be displayed in the terminal for an entire year.
